15 Minute Guided BIBLE STUDY Meditation | MARY MOTHER OF JESUS
Guided Meditations Friday, August 28, 2020
As we're beginning today's guided meditation,
I want to encourage you to close your eyes.
Focus on your breathing.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Bring your attention to this present moment.
Today we get an opportunity to look through scripture
and focus on Mary the Mother of Jesus.
In this guided meditation, i will be taking you through her story in the form of affirmations.
Let us remind ourselves of the virtues that Mary the Mother of Jesus possessed
and let us remind ourselves that these virtues are also available
for us in our daily lives.
So envision Mary,
a young woman be thrown and promised in marriage to Joseph.
She has her life planned out until heaven decides to invade her story.
Everything changes from that moment.
Have you ever had plans for your own life
and God decided to invade your story.
Take yourself back to that time and remember what it must have felt like for Mary.
So let us begin our affirmations.
Say it with me:
I am blessed among many women.
I am set apart.
I am chosen.
I am equipped for my journey.
Like Mary, i am full of God's grace.
I am never too young to be used by God.
I encounter visitations from heaven frequently and with ease.
The Lord knows my ears are open to his voice.
Heaven always has a word for me.
I am highly favored among women all generations will call me blessed.
God is with me.
I am a history maker.
Now in this moment place yourself in Mary's shoes:
Young, inexperienced, unqualified...
But God chose her.
God placed a special mark on her for our God loves to use the foolish
things of this world to confound the wise.
He takes pleasure and great delight in using people like you and me.
So in this moment take great courage knowing that God knew you
for the assignment he has over your life.
So say this with me:
I have what it takes to carry my assignment.
I am a ready vessel for God's use.
I am attentive to God's voice.
I hear God's voice with ease.
I am capable of partnering up with God for his will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven.
Now breathe in...
breathe out...
Release that tension and that pressure that burden you have been feeling
when you thought you had to accomplish God's assignment on your own.
Mary says: "How shall i know if this is so for i am a virgin."
There's certain areas about your journey that God himself will perform for you.
He will make the impossible possible.
He will open up the red seas.
He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
He will create a bridge for you to cross over.
Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord in your assignment.
Say this with me:
Something great has been deposited inside of me.
What is in me will change nations.
I carry a solution for today's world problems.
The power of the holy spirit is upon me.
Feel the power of God flowing from the top of your head to the
souls of your feet.
Permit yourself in this moment to become aware of God's manifest presence
right there with you in that room.
Say this with me:
The power of the Most High overshadows me.
What is in me is not of the flesh but born of the spirit.
I carry purpose.
I carry assignment.
I am capable.
I am competent and capacitated to carry God's assignment.
Breathe in....
Breathe out...
Receive the boldness that you have been so dearly needing
and the courage that you have been so dearly desiring
to do the will of the Lord concerning your life.
Remind yourself of this...
I am divinely supported.
I am always ready to learn.
I am humble at heart.
God has placed people around me who will accept and support what i carry.
I gravitate towards people who are receptive of what i carry.
Those that are for me will never leave me.
What is mine will be mine.
Envision Mary, after receiving a word from the angels.
She must have been afraid that joseph would leave her.
But heaven was so strategic in making sure that the people that were
supposed to work with her on a journey we're not going to leave her.
She needed a partner for the assignment,
and so God sent his angels to speak to Joseph.
Let this be a reminder to you that those
that are for you will never leave you and those that left you were never for you.
Think of those people that have left in this moment.
Every name of people that have left you.
Allow yourself to be grateful for the purging that took place....
Now let go.....
Say this with me:
I am surrounded by people who educate, equip, and encourage me for my journey.
I have quality companionship and mentorship.
My Elizabeth's gravitate towards me.
I have loyal helpful and secure mentors.
They celebrate my greatness and I celebrate theirs.
I have divinely orchestrated company for my journey.
Mary had her Elizabeth.
In this moment bring your attention to the names of the people that God
has specifically sent you in your own assignment.
It could be a mentor, a friend,
a sponsor, a partner, a supporter and encourager.
Say them out loud in this moment if you can.
Now take this moment to be grateful for those people.
They are rare and they are special.
People who believe in the greatness of what you carry.
Before it manifests and before it is even grown.
Say this with me:
I am convicted that with God nothing is impossible.
I take God at his word.
Like Mary, i stand and watch the Lord at work in my life.
I am a yielded vessel in God's hands.
I yield all my anxieties and fears as I step into my destiny.
Right in this moment, give yourself permission to release
any anxieties that you have been carrying.
With regards to your destiny, any fears any insecurities
let them go...
Release them.
Allow yourself to be set free to run without any hindrances.
Say this with me:
I am ready to pay the price for my assignment.
I am concerned about God's opinion of me
and not the opinion of my communities.
I am misunderstood by some but never misunderstood by God.
I am vindicated by God.
He speaks on my behalf in places where I am mentioned.
I am willing to give up my reputation for God to get the glory.
Envision Mary a young woman pregnant out of wedlock.
Envision her life, how it changed in the eyes of society.
And yet still Mary said 'Yes' to God she said yes to being useful as a vessel
in God's hands.
Remember, in the corridors of purpose you will be misunderstood.
There are things that will take place that people will not be able to understand.
But take heart, for God will get the glory out of your story.
Say this with me:
I have wisdom to move to different environments where what
is inside of me will be recognized, appreciated, valued and nourished.
I have divine discernment and the baby within me jumps when i meet
those assigned to my journey.
I always gravitate towards my Elizabeths, women filled with the Holy Spirit,
discernment and place value on that which is inside of me.
Take this moment to say a little prayer for your Elizabeth.
Now say this with me:
Blessed is what i carry.
I am a career of world solutions.
I birth out world-changing ideas and concepts.
I am blessed for i believed the Lord's promises over my life.
I carry a spirit that is able to incubate every word spoken over my life.
I fight for nurture and protect what God has entrusted me with.
I am capable of giving birth to what God spoke over my life.
In this moment, truly authentically and genuinely allow
yourself to believe you are who God says you are.
As we finish,
Say this with me:
The Lord's covering is upon my assignment.
I shall leave to see what i carry fulfill God's purpose here on this earth.
Well done for showing up for today's guided meditation.
Now gently bring your attention back to you.
Notice your body sitting on the ground supported by the earth.
May that always remind you that you are supported by God,
our Father creator of the universe.
Take a moment to pray in your own words and when you are done feel free to go
out into the world and breathe out world solutions...
See you in my next guided meditation.
Using these guided meditations alongside
personal bible study of these women of the word will anchor you and ground you in
virtues and the godly character that these women of the word possessed.
Hope you enjoyed today's
guided meditation.
Let's start today's guided meditation with gratitude.
Be grateful for showing up and making time for your personal
development.
Roll your shoulders gently as we begin making sure that you
are slowly relaxing.
Relax your body.
Feel your body safely supported by the ground you are sitting
on.
Today's bible character of choice is Esther.
Esther was raised an orphan and found herself sitting on the
throne as a Queen.
God chose her and positioned her in the corridors of power
so she could
Stand and fight for his people.
Start thinking about the place where God has strategically
positioned you in this season.
What is that place which you can call your own personal
throne.
Is it an industry, in ministry, as a community leader?
This guided meditation is for you
breathe in....
exhale...
Say it with me:
(in your mind or with your mouth)
I am a queen in the waiting.
My past does not define me.
God has plans to prosper me.
My future is brighter than my past.
Take a deep breath in...
exhale...
I am entering into spaces i never thought i could.
Doors are opening up high and wide as i come.
God has a plan for my life.
I am favored and highly blessed.
Take a deep breath in...
exhale.
Begin to imagine how Esther might have felt
when her parents passed on at a very young age.
She could have thought to herself that her life had ended.
She could have thought to herself that no good would come
out of her life.
And yet still God had many great plans for her life,
Plans to prosper her and not to harm her.
I often think what would have become of Esther had Mordechai
not taken her in
and raised her as his own.
Would she have found someone that would align her to the
palace.
There are things that happen in life that we
sometimes have no immediate understanding of.
But as days and years progress God begins to unravel his
plan for our life.
So whatever you are going through, remember
all things are working together for your good.
So take a deep breath in....
exhale...
Say this with me:
The Lord is on my side.
I am supported.
God is with me.
I am a reigning queen in waiting.
Take a deep breath in...
exhale...
I am called to serve my community and God's people.
I am full of courage and brave.
I am tactful and full of God's strategy.
I am unique and my uniqueness always opens doors for me.
Now take a deep breath in...
exhale...
My past made me ready for my future.
My pain had purpose.
My life has great meaning.
All i have been through equipped me for
God's call for my life.
Take a deep breath in...
exhale...
I am not afraid to raise my voice.
What i have to say matters.
I am a voice for the voiceless.
God trusts me with rooms and opportunities because i am a
woman of courage.
I can speak for others - for God has anointed me to do so.
Take a deep breath in...
exhale...
I recognize the platforms God has trusted me with.
I am trusted with much therefore much is required.
I do not despise myself because of my youth.
Where i am fearful, the Lord will give me words to say.
Now take a deep breath in...
exhale...
My words are seasoned with oil.
My voice, my opinions, my ideas carry the weight of my
callings oil.
I am heavenly defended and backed up by God.
My voice is respected in my area of assignment.
Grace and favor follow my voice.
I am influential.
I am called to carry nations.
Take a deep breath in...
exhale...
I am a woman of prayer.
I only move by prayer.
I am helped by prayer.
I am helped by God.
I outlast and outlive all my challenges.
Take a deep breath in...
exhale...
I am well mentored and surrounded by the right support.
God has placed door openers for me to enter into the right
rooms.
I am favored.
The will of the Lord concerning my life shall prevail.
As we end this guided meditation say these words with me:
I am chosen.
I am raised for such a time as this.
I am called.
I am equipped.
I am a leader.
I am a servant.
I am not afraid to raise my voice.
Take a moment to pray for the place God has currently positioned
you for.
Are you using your voice to effect change.
Remember you have been raised for such a time as this.
See you in the next guided meditation.
Using these guided meditations alongside personal bible
study of these women of
the word will anchor you and ground you in virtues
and the godly character that these women of the word
persist.
Hope you enjoy today's guided meditation.
Today's guided meditation
is on a biblical character called Miriam.
Miriam was sister to Moses.
Moses who then became the man that led
the children of Israel out of Egypt.
We are first introduced to Miriam as a young girl.
Just after Moses had been born,
Miriam is an important piece in the story of Moses life.
She is used by God to preserve Moses life.
She is also used by God to connect Moses to the Egyptian palace,
where Moses is then taken care of for many of his teenage years.
As we begin today's guided meditation,
let us acknowledge that we are always useful to God at any point in
any time in the day.
We must always remain open to being useful
and we must never look down on the small things we do,
because in the grand scheme of things,
these small acts, these small obediences
always lead to big results.
God is concerned about the small moments where our 'yeses' matter.
Miriam's yes at the right time
helped preserve her brother's life.
So let us start today's guided meditation.
I am called to protect what God has chosen.
My age does not disqualify me from being useful in God's hands.
I am a useful part of God's plan.
I hear God frequently and follow his leading effortlessly.
Now breathe in...
and breathe out...
Miriam was a useful part of God's plan.
Though she was young, she understood that she had to look
over and watch over her brother's life.
Even when her mother left Moses in the river,
Miriam did not give up on her brother.
She preserved and protected God's called one.
Right where you are...are you protecting
the people that God has entrusted you with.
Say it with me:
I am a protector of God's called.
I am a nurturer at heart.
I carry Godly wisdom and it preserves those that are connected to me.
I am always at the right place at the right time.
Miriam was where she needed to be.
She met with a God moment, where God used her to do the will of the Lord.
As you go about the day, may God
strategically position you.
May you always be where you need to be.
May you always be useful in fulfilling
God's mandate, whether in your family, in your career, in your ministry, in your business,
Wherever God has planted you.
So say this with me:
When others give up, i stay the course.
I watch over what God has placed his hands on.
I am protective of God's people.
I am not afraid to use my voice.
As the day goes, you are going to find yourself
met with situations that need your voice.
May you know when to raise it.
May you know when to use it.
And may God's hand be over your life. So your voice is listened to.
Say this with me:
I am a born leader.
I am capable of great things in life.
I am powerful, beautiful radiant and brave.
I am fearless and strong.
Right in this moment, connect to this
divine power and strength that is available to you
on demand. In God's kingdom,
allow him to strengthen you for the day ahead.
Allow him to strengthen you for the
season that you are currently in.
Say this with me:
I am a connector.
I recognize that my family's destiny is in my hands.
My words are used to protect and preserve
those around me.
My thoughts are heavily inspired.
My skill set is becoming useful even at a young age.
Now breathe in...
and breathe out...
I do not have to wait till I am old to be useful.
I am already walking in the corridors of power.
I rub shoulders with great queens kings princes and princesses.
My voice is respected and allowed audience
in the places of my purpose and assignment.
Right in this moment, begin to say a small prayer
of gratitude for this grace that is over your life.
God is using you right now in ways that sometimes you don't even understand.
In the grand scheme of life,
you matter.
You are important.
You are needed.
You are valuable.
So say this with me:
I am a facilitator and a collaborator.
I partner with God's agenda here on earth.
I always finish what i start.
I am always the last person to leave the room.
I watch over a project until its fruition.
You see Miriam had a choice to go back
home when her own mother
had left Moses and gone back home.
But there was something about Miriam that knew she
had to finish what had been started.
She had faith.
She had hope.
She believed that somehow Moses' life could be spared.
May those virtues go out with you throughout the day.
as you fulfill your God-Given assignment.
May you always be the last person to leave the room.
May you always be the last person to lose hope.
May you watch over what you have started until it is finished.
Right now bring your attention to any
project you are currently struggling with.
Receive grace to keep watch over it.
Until it is finished.
Say this with me:
I believe all problems have solutions.
I benefit from being a part of the solutions created.
I effectively influence people and have grace to speak,
even over those older than me.
My life is a teacher of the great power
of appropriating wisdom in situations and not giving up.
Now rest in those declarations that you have just made...
Let your spirit soak in the power
of the words that you have just spoken.
Let your spirit catch and be infused by these truths.
These are God's desires for you as you walk through life,
that you would always influence your environment...
so it benefits you.
Finally say this with me:
I can protect others and also submit under authority.
I know no man after the flesh and respect people above me.
I am forgiven for all my mistakes.
I am an important part of an important story.
God will preserve and protect my family through me.
All these virtues you have just declared over your life today...
you have access to them if you desire them.
So as you go out into the day to fulfill
your God-Given assignment, make sure that you know and understand
that there is virtues available to you
on demand in the kingdom of God.
Well done for showing up today and see
you in the next one....
Using these guided meditations alongside
personal bible study of these women of the word will
anchor you and ground you in virtues
and the godly character that these women of the word possessed.
Hope you enjoyed today's guided meditation.
Welcome to your daily guided meditation.
We have been using biblical characters
of women we look up to in the word of God.
Today as we begin,
close your eyes and get comfortable.
Gift yourself this moment.
Today's character of choice is Naomi.
This character is found in the book of Ruth.
Naomi moved to Bethlehem in search for greener pastures
after Moab had been infested with the famine.
As she moved to another location,
she gave birth to two sons.
These two sons married wives for themselves.
After many years Naomi's husband
passed on. As if that were not enough,
tragedy had to return again. Her sons died.
Place your hand over your heart.
Take a deep breath in,
and take a deep breath out.
Have you also experienced loss of some sort.
Have you experienced the pain of grief?
Today's guided meditation has you in mind.
Say this with me:
I have what it takes to walk through any loss.
My thoughts in my season of grief
lead me only in the direction of healing.
My grief matters and is valid.
I give myself permission to feel the pain -
but i feel it in hope.
I am kind to myself as i go through my healing journey.
Allow yourself to feel this kindness you are giving yourself
for a moment.
Let go of any self-judgment in the season of loss.
Let go of any negative self-talking in this season of loss.
Let go of feeling the need to silence the pain.
Allow God to be your greatest comfort.
Repeat it with me:
(either in your mind or with your words)
I release myself from any guilt i feel
for the decisions which led me to this place of loss.
Naomi had been a part of the decision making
that had led them to move locations.
I can only but imagine the pain
and the discomfort and the regret
that she must have felt, when she not
only lost her husband but she lost her sons.
She lost everyone that she came with.
Have you been feeling any sense of guilt, any sense of loss,
for certain decisions that you have made?
Repeat it with me:
All things are working together for my good.
I let go of any guilt.
I let go of any regrets.
I am where i need to be.
Now take a deep breath in...
and exhale.
Say it with me:
I am healing under god's precious watch.
God sent his word to heal me.
The Lord will patch up all my broken places.
My tears will certainly be wiped away in time.
My future still holds purpose.
My life still carries destiny.
Notice that new hope and faith start to bubble
in your heart.
Give yourself permission to let that faith in God.
Begin to rise again.
I am surrounded and supported by loyal companionships.
I have a healthy relationship with receiving help
from those around me.
I allow people to support me.
I don't have to suffer alone.
I allow people to carry me when i am weak.
It must have felt incredibly difficult for Naomi
to receive help from Ruth.
We see this by the way she tried to push
both of them away.
She knew she no longer had anything to give them.
Have you ever been in this place before?
Where you felt like you no longer had anything to give
to anyone.
God is always faithful to send a Ruth.
Friends /relatives/ partners that stick
closer to us than brothers.
Repeat it with me:
I have wisdom needed to know when a location no longer
serves me.
I can move with ease.
My grief and pain does not stop me from
investing in other people's futures.
Feel your body right now relaxing and
releasing the pain and the disappointment
connected to your loss.
Allow God to heal you.
Say it with me:
I am able to share my wisdom for the benefit of others.
I am full of strategy and Godly wisdom.
I am a Queen Maker.
I facilitate the success of others around me.
I know my life still has value.
I am a destiny connector.
Notice yourself becoming aware of how
much value you have to offer.
Even right now in the midst of your pain, your loss
you are still valuable.
You are still needed here.
So declare this with me:
I will see the salvation of the Lord.
I will sing and worship in the midst of my pain.
There is still a bright future ahead of me.
There is still laughter and joy ahead of me.
My story does not end here.
I am able to reinvent myself when all I know
is taken away from me.
I am open to change.
I permit God to continue writing my story.
There are so many hats that Naomi held in her life.
She was a wife then she became a mother.
Then she became a Mother-in-Law
and when the time came when naomi was a widow
she became one of the greatest most
powerful queen makers in the bible - connecting Ruth to Boaz
and connecting Ruth to the genealogy and
the lineage of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Naomi was a very important piece of the puzzle.
Even in the times when she was suffering great pain and grief,
Naomi was still useful in God's hands.
So repeat it with me:
I am not defined by my grief.
I am refined by my grief.
I refuse for my name to change because
of what i have been through.
I am made with the stuff that does not break.
I have reservoirs of strength i do not even know of
which i am tapping into in this season.
Now breathe in.....
and breathe out.
Now sit in that last statement and soak
it in....
Repeat it again...
I have reservoirs of strength i do not even
know of, which i am tapping into in this season.
There is reservoirs of grace...Reservoirs of strain...
Reserves of courage. Reservoirs of boldness, that God
has prepared for you in this season.
Everything that fell upon you was well calculated.
And God knew you had everything
it would take to survive this moment.
Say it with me:
I am committed to my journey.
The Lord neither leaves nor forsakes me.
The Lord will patch up all my broken places.
I release myself into God's process.
Now move your arms in a way that feels good to you....
You can open your eyes.
Smile and get encouraged as you step into this day.
Remember just like Naomi,
you have divine strength to start afresh in any season.
See you in the next video.
Using these guided meditations alongside
personal bible study of these women of the word,
will anchor you and ground you in
virtues and the Godly character that these women of the word possessed.
Hope you enjoyed today's guided meditation.
