15 Minute Guided BIBLE STUDY Meditation | RUTH

Wednesday, August 19, 2020

As we begin this guided meditation,

close your eyes and quieten your mind.

With each affirmation, allow yourself to

feel the feelings and catch the virtues

that are embodied in every statement.

Breathe in - Breathe out

Today's character is Ruth

from the book of Ruth in the bible.

Ruth was married to one of Naomi's two sons.

After spending some time as a married woman,

enjoying the benefits and the pleasures of marriage, her husband died.

Place yourself in Ruth's position.

Have you been in a situation where you had planned your life,

where you had made plans for the future and everything seemed to be going

as planned.

Until God changed the story

of your life in the space of a day.

Like many women today, Ruth must have felt devastated.

She must have felt lost.

She must have felt discouraged.

And she must have felt the pain of dealing with loss.

So we find her in her grieving season.

But not only is she grieving she also has to be the strength that her mother-in-law

(who is much older) needs.

She has to be a pillar for her

and she decides to be the pillar

that never leaves her side.

So repeat after me either out loud

or in your mind...

I am not going to die as a victim, i shall be a victor!

i am not going to die as a victim,

I shall be a victor!

I am not going to die as a victim, I shall be a victor.

Now take a deep breath in and exhale.

Repeat after me

I am going to chart a new way for myself.

God makes a way where there seems to be no way.

Better days are ahead of me.

My future is brighter than my past.

Take a deep breath in and exhale.

Repeat after me:

My loss will not destroy me, define me or deter me.

The journey ahead of me is greater than the journey behind me.

My season of mourning is ending.

I allow myself to feel everything

and still hope and trust in the Lord.

My pain is valid yet i cry with hope in the Lord.

Shouts of joy will one day fill the corridors of my life again in Jesus name.

Take a deep breath in

Exhale.

I am strong loyal and still chosen.

I walk with the wise and become wise.

My loyalties are well placed and my kindness...

My loyalties are well placed and my kindness towards

others will be rewarded.

All that i have invested in my previous relationships will yield return.

Ruth invested in her husband. Ruth invested in a mother-in-law.

And it yielded results when she found Boaz.

Whatever you are going through in your life,

always remember never tire in doing good.

For the Lord rewards those that diligently seek after him.

Take a deep breath in and exhale.

My choices are divinely inspired.

My words are seasoned with salt.

I am not afraid to start afresh.

I am not afraid to start from behind.

I respect and appreciate humble beginnings.

The bible tells us that when Ruth went back to Bethlehem

with a Mother-In-Law Naomi.

She had to start rebuilding her life again.

She would work in the fields gathering up

some food for her and her mother-in-law.

It was a new environment, new people,

certainly something that she had not been used to.

But she appreciated, valued and respected humble beginnings. She was ready to rebuild again.

Now take a deep breath in and exhale.

Repeat after me:

Wherever i am planted, I will flourish.

Wherever i start afresh, i find divine favor.

My mentors are God sent and have vested interest in my success.

I am supernaturally and divinely supported.

I am surrounded by good counsel and queen makers.

Take a deep breath in and exhale

I am unique and distinguished.

My Boaz finds me with ease.

Those in position of my destiny gravitate towards me with ease.

Now take a deep breath in and exhale.

My tears will turn into laughter.

God is redeeming all my lost time.

God is making a way where there seems to be no way.

The lord is making all things beautiful in his time.

God is washing away all the tears that I have cried.

My past will not define me.

The hand of God is strong over my life.

The favor of the Lord is strong over my life.

Now take a deep breath in and exhale.

My word will distinguish me.

I am radiant and visible.

My destiny is looking for me.

I am in the right place at the right time.

I walk through my hardships with grace.

I am proud of the progress i am making.

Now take a deep breath in and exhale.

I am long-suffering and fearless.

I am wise and humble.

I am filled with Godly virtue.

My past has not scarred me.

Now take a deep breath in and exhale.

Scripture says that one day Boaz saw Ruth and he asked about her.

There was something peculiar about Ruth

that attracted Boaz to her.

May everything that God desires for you

to have in this season supernaturally gravitate towards you.

May every room that you step into yield opportunities for you.

May you be distinguished and visible in

every space that you enter into.

Now take a deep breath in and exhale.

As we conclude this guided meditation,

Repeat this with me:

New environments are ready to embrace me. New people are ready to embrace me.

I am open to change.

God's story for my life has just begun.

I carry royalty within me.

Nations are waiting for what i carry.

Now take a moment and feel yourself

receiving the wisdom gracious and supernatural

ability that made Ruth an outstanding woman in her times.

A woman who was able to navigate through difficulty, loss

grief, pain and finally find herself rebuilding a new life for herself.

These virtues are with you,

throughout the day today - if you desire them.
