Affirmations: Before You Say I Do

I have the relationship I have always desired.
I am open to love and I am in the perfect relationship for me. In God I am fulfilled, lacking nothing and unconditionally accepted. I know how to love for God shows his expression through me. I do not have the ability to generate love, for according to 1 John 4:7, love comes from God.I permit God to use me as a vessel of love in my marriage.

I do not love because they (_________name) are deserving, but according to 1 John 4:19. I love them because God first led by good example and loved me at my weakest.

I have been crucified in Christ and no longer live therefore Christ can fully use me to minister love to my soon to be husband. As God loved me with an unfailing love (Jeremiah 31:3), I can love with the same through Christ who strengthens me.

According to John 15:13, greater love has no one than this to lay down one’s life for a friend. I declare that my heart is laid down for my soon to be partner and no one else. My loyalty is fully pledged just on him and as the church joyfully places itself under Christ’s submission and covering, I place my life under my partner.

I declare that I am abounding in love and faithfulness. I declare that I carry a love that endures as Christ's does. I declare that I carry a sacrificial love (Romans 5:8). As Christ died for us to have life I will sacrificially die daily to ‘I’, to give life to ‘Us’. I have supernatural, Holy Spirit breathed ability to with stand the tests of marriage.

My relationship and engagement is preserved. My joy will not be cut short. According to Zephaniah 3:17, in his love, the Lord stops his rebuke - but rejoices over me with singing. I declare that my mouth shall be foreign to rebuke and criticism in marriage. I shall greatly encourage my husband and be a wife of consolation.

With great comfort shall I cheer him on when the winds of life toss him to and fro. I am worthy of love and so is my partner. I declare that we are a formidable team ready to portray Christ with our marriage. I declare that our goals are aligned. We dream together and build in unity. I declare that our values are in sync, we are constantly learning each other so we are stronger. I am favoured in his family and by all that know him.

There is oneness in our beliefs. We are a family called to serve the Lord with us in our seed. I release every emotional baggage from my past. The Lord is making all things new. I am thankful to have finally found someone special. Money is one of the biggest conflicts in marriage therefore the Lord has blessed us with the power to prosper. We shall lack no good thing.

Our barns shall forever be full with produce. Opportunities come to us easily and flow in our direction. I declare that we are compatible. As Eve was Adams flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone, so am I to him. I declare understanding, harmony, peace, concurrence, order, oneness.

Any demonically induced fights will find us ready to defend our marriage with humility, slowness of speech, quick listening, kindness, forgiveness, respect, love and the powerful weapon of prayer. We are always on our knees when it is difficult to love each other as husband and wife we will always have our friendship to fall back on. In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

For I am convicted that neither death nor life, neither angels nor Demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers. Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. And with our eyes on him - his love through us - we will conquer all! AMEN!
